Welcome to the Blarney Stone, Anchorage’s premier Irish pub, dedicated to providing guests with an authentic Irish experience. The pub was rebranded and is reopening as the Blarney Stone in the same building and space as the once-successful McGinley’s. The interior has been completely remodeled, the food menu rejuvenated, and the ambition is to become the best Irish pub in Alaska.
The name, Blarney Stone, is inspired by the actual Blarney stone at the Blarney Castle in Ireland. The stone has been around for centuries and those who kiss it are said to be given the ability to speak with eloquence and persuasiveness, the true “gift of gab,” It’s a tradition that’s been passed down from generation to generation, and it’s something that we take to heart.
